Elgato Game Capture HD Review

GAMING ACTION AS ENTERTAINMENT

Like watching gaming videos on YouTube like ‘Lets play” and have considered creating and uploading your own ‘Let’s Play’ videos? I found the perfect hardware for you! After purchasing the ELGATO GAME CAPTURE HD I must admit, it is a great piece of hardware.

PLUG, PLAY AND CAPTURE

The hardware is easy to install and use. Connect your gaming console to the capture device, then connect via USB to your computer and finally, a connection to your tv. Simple to setup. The biggest surprise of all, NO EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY. The capture device must be receiving just enough power through USB as I have no other idea where the capture would get power from.

SIMPLE SOFTWARE

Easy to use software. The software is very easy to ease and works. Even though software is not included in the box, it must be downloaded from ELGATO’s website..possibly to insure that the latest version is installed. The software is clearly labeled and not only captures your gaming sessions, but provides simple video editing features.

TRAVEL BACK IN TIME

Flash Back Recording, an awesome feature! If you happen to have your Elgato Game Capture HD connected but NOT recording, but end up running through a mission you want to share, you can actually go back in time and start recording from the beginning of your mission; all this thanks to the Flash Back Recording which buffers your gaming play when NOT recording.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, AWESOMENESS!

The price. While the Elgato Game Capture HD isn’t the cheapest capture device on the market it certainly is one of the BEST if not THE BEST game capture device currently on the market. Elgato’s Game Capture HD is well worth the money, it flawlessly captures game play in excellent quality without lag directly to your computer and it just works right out of the box.

NOTHING ELSE TO BUY

Complete package. The Elgato Game Capture HD also comes complete with all the cables you need to capture game play from PlayStation 3 or XBox 360. No need to run out and purchase any extra cables.

Elgato’s Game Capture HD also captures retro gaming consoles like Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Sega Master System. To capture retro console game play, you need to purchase extra cables since device setup will be different than capturing game play from current generation consoles.

In conclusion, if game capturing is something you’re interested in, don’t hesitate purchasing your own Elgato Game Capture HD device; it’s fantastic and a MUST BUY.

Taking a Stand for Privacy: Why We Said Goodbye to Google

In early April 2020, a significant decision was made at Mercola.com that sent shockwaves through the digital realm: we deliberately blocked Google from indexing our articles and breaking news blog posts. This move was not arbitrary; it was a conscientious step taken in response to the growing concerns about the invasive nature of surveillance capitalism, spearheaded by Google. The Era of Surveillance Capitalism For years, we've been sounding the alarm about the dangers posed by surveillance capitalists, with Google at the forefront. Most websites, including countless smaller ones, rely on Google's "free" analytics program and advertising platforms. But as the saying goes, there's no such thing as a free lunch. Behind the facade of free services lies a stark reality: your personal data is the currency exchanged for these conveniences. Google's power extends far beyond mere data collection. It operates as a surveillance agency with formidable yet covert capabili
