Microsoft XBox 360 Kinect Mini Review
So I got to try Microsoft’s XBox 360 Kinect motion sensor system and I was quite pleased with it’s first impressions. I was able to play Kinect Sports and Kinect Adventure. Both titles are most probably intended for group play but I had fun playing them solo. Now I only got to play with the Kinect system for a about 40 minutes and this posting is a mini review.
First impression; it was great. The first thing I was questioning about Kinect was it’s ability to capture motion from objects moving back and fourth. As I was playing, I moved my arms back and fourth as well as stepping forward backward and the Kinect system caught my movement. I was surprised at the level of motion sensing the Kinect was achieving.
Now it was FUN and I was working up a sweat while playing the games. This system can be a real winner with the Tai kick boxing ‘game’ that will be released in the near future. Walking into the Kinect Centre, I had decided that the Kinect system was a ‘wait and see’ purchase…something that I wasn’t going to run out and purchase right away. However, after trying Kinect and the $10 discount as well as the inclusion of Kinect Adventure, I decided to pre-order the Kinect system. Unboxing coming November 4th 2010 as well as a full review due November 6th 2010.
